Hidden underneath the city of Nottingham are a network of ancient caves - used and inhabited perhaps as long as the city itself. Take a trip down to explore, with an audio guide to explain the stories of the sandstone tunnels: from medieval residents to World War II bomb sheltering. The City of Caves, accessed through Broadmarsh Shopping Centre, is open from 10.30am-4pm.
