The idea of fishing may seem like a quiet afternoon pastime by a river to many people, but to the trawlermen of Grimsby it is a difficult, dangerous job, riding the treacherous waters of the North Sea to bring fish to the dinner tables of Britain. Explore life on board the Ross Tiger moored in Alexandra Dock, one of the country's oldest diesel-powered trawler vessels, with a tour between 11am and 2.30pm this Wednesday - and explore the rest of Grimsby's maritime story at the galleries of the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre next door (where tour tickets are available).
