Adelade Gaol, on Gaol Road in Thebarton, is one of the city's most notorious buildings - in 147 years of operation, it had nearly 300,000 'guests' and 45 executions took place here. Now you don't have to be a hardened criminal to get in, you can discover the lives of prisoners, historic and modern, with a visit to the corridors and cells with a self-guided tour between 10am and 3pm.
