A landmark on the south coast, Eastbourne's Redoubt Fortress dates from the 18th Century, to protect Britain from a Napoleonic invasion that never happened. Discover more at the fortress museum, and take a 1 hour tour (available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays) around the site with one of the museum guides at either 11am or 2.30pm.
